Proposed First Floor Extension above Garage and Internal Alterations

ADM Studio has been appointed to design a first-floor extension of an existing dwelling, extending above the current garage from the front to the rear. This new addition will accommodate two bedrooms, complete with a shared en-suite bathroom and a staircase leading to the proposed upper level.
A roof light, strategically placed in the vaulted ceiling hallway, will flood the interior with natural daylight, enhancing the sense of space. The front façade are updated with two new UPVC windows, illuminating the newly created bedroom.
At the rear, the design features a gable roof that adds a modern touch, serving a mezzanine floor above the bedroom. This gable incorporates a large, fixed five-pane window, inviting abundant natural light into both the mezzanine and the bedroom below, creating a striking architectural feature.
The external finishes of the extension will consist of white render, offering a contemporary contrast to the existing brickwork. This blend of materials creates a harmonious yet distinctive appearance, merging traditional and modern aesthetics.
