Single storey side and rear extension (following demolition of existing conservatory)

ADM Studio has been appointed to design an side and rear extension for a two-story dwelling. The existing dwelling features a classic hipped roof and is adorned with brickwork on all sides. The existing porch at the front of the house extends outward, alongside a garage with a mono-pitched roof. At the rear, there was a conservatory which will be replaced by a contemporary rear extension.
The proposed front of the house will be reimagined with a modern aesthetic, showcasing a sleek rendered finish for the porch, complemented by a sophisticated grey entrance door and garage door. While the existing windows will be retained, they will be updated to modern grey casement windows, harmonising with the overall design.
The rear extension will feature a flat roof and seamless rendered finishes that flow from the sides to the porch. This extension will be adorned with two sets of bi-fold doors, opening up to a stylish open-plan kitchen and dining area, bathed in natural light. The addition of two large roof lanterns will further enhance the space with an abundance of daylight.
The combination of the new render and the existing brickwork creates a striking contrast, adding a distinctive character to the home and making it stand out beautifully.
